The Pinnacle Hamidon Raid Group is an informal collection of heroes (not a SG!) gathered for the sole purpose of taking out the big blob. The initial goal is to successfully defeat Hamidon prior to Issue 4, when his powers will presumably be changed again. Listed below are the group philosophies -- if they look like something you agree with, please sign up by posting in the introductions thread on this forum.
1) This is an all-inclusive group. We welcome all heroes of level 45 or over, regardless of origin or archtype, gender or race, height or weight. What we do ask, however, is that everyone leave their differences at the gate to the Hive. Remember that the enemy is Hamidon, not each other. All members are expected to hold themselves to the utmost ideals of respect, teamwork, and understanding when paticipating in group activities.
2) We are in this to take out the big blob in the name of the entire Pinnacle server. In particular, we are willing to lead a suicide charge so a blaster can get off one more snipe, experiment with crazy tactics that we may or may not believe will actually succeed, and generally max out our debt each and every raid. We are *not* in it for the enhancements, experience (the in-game kind), or influence.
3) We are in this for the long haul. Successful supergroups have only taken out Hami after months of experimenting and practicing. There is absolutely no reason why we should be any different. In particular, we expect our initial attempts to be met with only partial success and do not expect to be able to take out the central blob himself until much later. However, we are always open to heroes joining our group between raids.
4) We will listen to everybody's suggestions as far as tactics and organization prior to the raid. However, once the raid plan is set, we will do our best to stick to that plan, follow orders from the raid leaders, and not charge off on our own. Raid leaders will be chosen based on previous Hamidon experience and understanding of the difficulties involved, but most importantly on their leadership abilities in the crater.
5) Off of the killing fields, we will run very egalitarian with respect to viewpoints and ideas. However, at all times we will remain civil with each other. (Posts running contrary to this ideal will be deleted and the poster warned.)
6) Demonstrating excessive incivility, lack of teamwork, or lack of participation are grounds (and the only grounds) for termination from this group and being uninvited for subsequent raids. Only the administrator can terminate members (by deleting user accounts), and the administrator will exercise extreme restraint in doing so.
That's it -- basically, be nice on the boards, follow the leader on the field, and recognize that the key to beating Hamidon is not a legion of snipers, rad defenders, or regen scrappers but rather organization, determination, and teamwork. Any feedback or desired changes should be posted below for review.
